The other night when I was trying to sleep, I was reminded of a meme I saw a while ago. The meme showed a "relationship application" of sorts. When I was reminded of this I wondered why something like this wasn't common place.
As a neurodivergent polyamorous person, something like this would be helpful and beneficial. So, I took it upon myself to create my own. At first I was doing it for a bit of fun, since it was something on my mind. My form/"application" is more along the lines of a "are we a good fit" form.
After I had completed it, I wanted to share it with other polyamorous folks to get their opinion. I half expected to be met with comments along the lines of "that's silly", "no one will bother with that". Turns out, that wasn't the case at all.
I only shared it to one Facebook group I'm in, but all the comments were positive and I even had a few people ask if I could make them one: or if they could use my idea. This prompted me to see if I could turn my form into a template, and after a little searching I figured it out! The link to get your own template will be at the bottom of this post ^.^.
This whole experience of my thoughts behind the form, and the opinions of others, made me wonder even more why this isn't common. Perhaps it's because some would see it as a little "weird", or perhaps some would see it as too much effort. Or maybe it's something else entirely. It may be worthwhile to explore this further, I could even make another form to collect other opinions 🤭.
